Best Practice Reports – Immersive Reality in Education
Within the framework of the WILOS360 – Witness Local Customs in 360 project, partners from Greece, Portugal, and Spain developed three national Best Practice Reports, aiming to document and analyse good practices in the use of Immersive Reality (IR) technologies in education, culture, and experiential learning.
Each report presents representative examples of IR applications in the respective country, with a particular focus on:
cultural heritage and local traditions,
school and higher education contexts,
the use of technology to support experiential and participatory learning,
as well as the challenges and future potential of integrating VR, AR, and 360° content into educational settings.
The three reports are complementary and together provide a comparative European perspective on how Immersive Reality is being implemented across different national and educational contexts. They highlight diverse strategies, innovative approaches, and practical experiences that reflect local needs while contributing to a shared European vision.
At the same time, the Best Practice Reports serve as a source of inspiration and a practical reference for educators, schools, and organisations interested in using Immersive Reality to teach cultural heritage, promote local customs, and enhance learners’ engagement and understanding.
Available Best Practice Reports:
Each report can be explored independently, while collectively they support the development of a common European approach to the educational use of Immersive Reality, which lies at the core of the WILOS360 project.
