About Course

This training course introduces teachers and educators to the use of Immersive Reality (IR) as an innovative pedagogical tool for exploring Europe’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Participants will learn how to use affordable VR technologies and 360° content to virtually engage students in local customs, cultural events, and historical contexts across Europe. The course equips educators with practical methodologies, lesson ideas, and digital tools to integrate immersive experiences into subjects such as history, literature, and social sciences, enhancing student engagement and strengthening European identity.

Course Content

MODULE 1 – Introduction to WILOS360

MODULE 2 – Immersive Learning & Pedagogy
This module introduces the pedagogical foundations of immersive learning and explains how cultural heritage can be used as a learning resource. Teachers explore immersive learning as a learner-centred approach and become familiar with the cultural content of the WILOS360 platform.

MODULE 3 – Using WILOS360 Materials in Class
This module focuses on the practical use of WILOS360 materials in the classroom. It guides teachers step by step from exploring immersive cultural content to designing their own lesson plans based on real classroom examples. Through this module, you will learn how 360° cultural content can be transformed into meaningful learning experiences, aligned with clear pedagogical objectives and adaptable to different subjects and age groups in secondary education. The module combines examples, structure, and practice, helping teachers move from observation to confident classroom implementation.

MODULE 5 – Self assessment
This module invites you to reflect on what you have learned throughout the course. Through a self-assessment quiz, you will review key concepts from all modules and check your understanding of immersive learning, cultural heritage, and the use of WILOS360 materials in the classroom.
