It's hard for our young people to imagine what life would have been like at a time when there was no basic infrastructure such as piped water, sewage, toilets or electricity.
-How could people live without these conditions that seem essential to us today?
-What would food have been like back then, before the discoveries, before the exchange of goods between continents?
-How did they entertain themselves?
- How were they organized socially?
Classroom Organisation
Research work in small groups in the subjects involved. Watching videos/films about this era. Eventually, a presentation of a final work - historical recreation, depending on the conditions available in the school context.

Videos/films about the Middle Ages;
VR glasses.
Description
Research in History lessons on the customs of medieval times, in relation to the different social classes;
Research in science lessons on the types of food used in medieval times;
Study visit to the medieval market in Óbidos and participation in the medieval dinner.
Additional Information
If possible, do a historical re-enactment with the collaboration of the local authority.

Assessment will be done through worksheets on the themes developed in each subject.
